6win Cricket Betting — T20, ODI and Test's best markets in one place
From BPL to IPL, T20 World Cup to Test series — bet on match winner, toss, top batsman and more markets in every match. Live in-play is also available across all formats.
Cricket's three formats and the tournaments Bangladeshis follow most
Cricket is one sport, but it has three distinct formats — and the nature of betting differs slightly in each. Most fans in Bangladesh feel closest to T20, as matches finish in three to four hours, excitement stays high and the result is often uncertain until the final over.
In ODI, or One Day International cricket, strategy spreads out across 50 overs. How the run rate builds through the middle overs, how many wickets fell in the powerplay — all of this plays a big role in in-play markets. In Test cricket, pitch behaviour, weather and a team's batting depth over five days influence betting choices.
BPL (Bangladesh Premier League) pushes local enthusiasm to its peak every season. IPL is also hugely popular in Bangladesh, and the Tigers' matches at the ICC T20 World Cup generate strong interest in betting markets as well. 6win offers extensive markets across all three tournaments.
| Format | Number of overs | Match duration | Betting features |
|---|---|---|---|
| T20 | 20 + 20 | 3–4 hours | Fast-changing, in-play markets are most active |
| ODI | 50 + 50 | 7–8 hours | Mid-innings run rate and partnership markets are important |
| Test | Unlimited (5 days) | Up to 5 days | Innings result, session bets and match draw markets are available |
Cricket's popular betting markets — how each one works
A brief introduction to each market is given below. The examples are for illustration only — they are not actual odds or a promise of winnings.
Match Winner
Which team will win the match — Team A or Team B. There are no draws in T20, so you choose from just two options. The simplest market and the best place for newcomers to start.
Toss Winner
Bet on which team will win the toss before the match starts. It is entirely a matter of chance — you pick one of the two teams. This market closes as soon as the match begins.
Top Batsman
Which batter will score the most runs in an innings or across the whole match. Odds are generally higher in this market because there are many batters in a team.
Total Runs Over/Under
Bet on whether the total runs in a match will be above (over) or below (under) a set line. Example: in T20, if the combined run line for both innings is 320, then over means 321 or more runs.
Multi Bet (Multiple Selections)
Results from multiple matches can be combined into one bet. If all selections are correct, the odds are multiplied together, so the return can be much higher. However, if even one selection is wrong, the entire bet is lost.
Top Wicket Taker
Which bowler will take the most wickets in an innings or a match. Pitch conditions and weather have a greater effect on this market. On spin-friendly pitches, the odds for spinners shorten.
First Innings Lead
In ODI and Test matches, the "First Innings Lead" market is available — which team will score more runs in the first innings. The pitch's early behaviour plays a big role in this market. Bet responsibly — betting is for entertainment, not a source of income.
How to read odds — the same value in three formats
Betting sites display odds in three ways — Decimal, Fractional and American. All three express the same probability differently. The example below shows all three side by side.
If Team A wins, you get back ৳1,125 (৳625 profit + ৳500 original stake). If Team A loses, you lose ৳500.
American minus odds show how much you need to stake to win 100. Here, a ৳500 bet returns ৳750 (৳250 profit) if Team B wins.
The Decimal format is the simplest — to calculate your return, just multiply your stake by the odds. Most platforms in Bangladesh use Decimal as the default.
How cricket multi bets work
When you place three selections from three separate matches together in one bet, the odds are multiplied together. Example:
If all three are correct, you get back ৳490 from a ৳100 bet. If even one is wrong, you lose the full ৳100. Multi bets offer higher returns but also carry higher risk.
Betting is always for entertainment. Set your own limits and do not increase your bets to recover losses. To learn more about responsible betting, read the responsible gaming guide.
LIVE — odds that change with wickets and overs
The most notable aspect of cricket in-play betting is that odds can change after every ball. If a team loses two wickets by the end of the powerplay, that team's "Match Winner" odds will rise sharply — meaning the market considers their chances of winning to have fallen.
On the other hand, a big sixth over or a quick fifty partnership can bring that team's odds back down. This movement is what keeps in-play betting continuously active. On 6win, live markets update regularly while the match is in progress.
Some markets are only available in-play, such as "which over will the next wicket fall in" or "how many runs will be scored in the current over". These markets close quickly, so there is less time to decide.
Football and other sports — differences from cricket
On 6win, you can bet on football alongside cricket. Match winner, goal over/under and handicap markets are available across the world's top leagues — from the English Premier League to the Bangladesh Premier League.
The main difference between football and cricket is that a draw is a common result in football, so the "1X2" market has three options — home win, draw or away win. In T20 cricket there are only two. Also, a football match ends in 90 minutes, so there is less time to make in-play decisions.
Sports like tennis, badminton and kabaddi have relatively fewer betting markets, but a match winner market is usually available. The in-play depth found in cricket is not available here.
If you are interested in casino games, you can find out about 6win Casino's live table games and slots — the experience there is completely different from sports betting.
Some useful things to keep in mind for cricket betting
These are general observations, not profit strategies. Betting is for entertainment — every bet carries a chance of loss.
In T20, one big over can change the entire match. In ODI, the run rate in the middle overs matters. Start with the format you understand best.
On a green pitch, pace bowlers have the advantage; on a dry pitch, spinners do. If rain is forecast, the chance of a draw or low scores in a Test or ODI increases.
Decide how much you will bet in a session beforehand. Placing a lot more bets all at once to recover losses is risky. Read about responsible gaming.
When a wicket falls, odds move quickly. Take a moment before betting on immediate impulse — sometimes it is easier to make a clear decision after the odds have settled.
Read the terms and conditions carefully before using a bonus. Understanding the wagering requirement makes it easier to use a bonus correctly.
Beyond cricket — Aviator and other crash games
Outside of sports betting, another popular category on 6win is crash games. The rules and mechanics of crash games like Aviator are completely different — you bet on how long a plane's flight will last, which has nothing in common with cricket markets. Those who want to try something different alongside cricket betting can read the details on the Aviator page.
